A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

Have you ever wanted to know how difficult it was to keep things afloat while not being stressed, overworked and too scared of inconveniencing others? This game is just the things for you. Play as a corporate worker who is working from home and has to manage to keep her job, take care of her new born child and respond to calls from worried co workers. Even though she is trying to manage her job. She is on the brink of being redundancy and insanity.

GAME PLAY

Take part in three activities that may be required to be completed simultaneously:
Feed the baby: Occasionally, the baby cries. So feed it. Don’t overfeed it though.
Respond to your worried co workers: Why do people keep calling? Do i have to listen to every single one? Yes.
Accept unemployment and apply for jobs: Sucks that you might lose your job. Better frantically apply for more.

STORY/INSPIRATION/MOTIVATION

This game is the developers first ever game and tackles the question of: How can one represent the difficulty of multitasking?

The developer's motivation behind creating the game comes from his own experiences. He is sure that many of you can relate to him. That sometimes we feel stressed and have too many things on our plate. Other time, We are too scared to ask for help without seeming like an inconvenience to others.

He chose to put this in the context of a current issue of today. Which is pregnant women or women in the postpartum phase being discriminated in the workforce especially in IT. As stated in the article by the ‘observer’. In IT, ‘it’s expected that you’ll work all day and night, especially if you’re an early stage startup. ‘. That taking maternity leave could lead to be feeling perceived as weak, distracted and risks to their company. It is common that women are too scared to tell their employers they are pregnant because it is seen as a ‘death sentence’ to their careers. There are many jobs available in IT and there are also a lot of people looking for jobs. This means that jobs can be easily replaced because there will always be someone to fill the spot. There are many stories about women holding onto their jobs or creating a job of their own. However, in all situations all these scenarios involve a lot of stress.

This experience explores this issue while taking on a multitasking game play.
